Outdoor Modular Los Angeles LED Screen Rental

If you have never rented an LED screen before you may be confused about the different types available and what might be the best choice for your event. There are many different options for your different applications. Below you can learn more about our modular LED wall options.
Modular screens by definition come to your event in multiple pieces which are assembled onsite. These smaller pieces (sometimes referred to as tiles or cabinets) can range in size from around one and a half to two feet. Depending on the model they are either square or rectangular which allows for a lot of flexibility in regards to the shape and size of your final screen. Our most common finished screen sizes are 9’x16’, 11’x9’, or 13’x27’ but the possibilities are endless. It’s very possible to design a screen to be basically any size or shape you desire. Your only restriction is in the size of your panel. If you have a 2 foot panel, you can only have your screen be in dimensions that are multiples of two. For example 2×6, 10×16, 4×10 et cetera.
If you are looking for a very specific sized screen, our modular options are going to be your best choice. Our mobile screens come in fixed sizes which allows for less flexibility in size while offering greatly flexibility in portability. It’s also important to remember that when considering an indoor installation, a modular screen will be the most realistic options most of the time.
There are many applications that are great for our modular screens. If it is not possible to get a trailer or truck into a venue, modular may be your only option. Another reason many people decide to go with a modular screen is for aesthetic reasons. The modular screens are absolutely beautiful and when they are stretched across the entire stage they make a huge impact!
There are a few things to consider when looking at your screen mounting options. Here are just a few:
Here are a few standard options for supporting your modular LED screen:
Ground stacked, rear supported is a common choice for those using their screen as a backdrop. With this option the screen can only be off the floor 2 feet at most. If you are concerned about seeing the structure this is a desirable option as the audience will not be able to see it from where they are sitting.
Stage stacked affixed to scaffolding is a great option if you’re going to be outside. It’s much safer than a flown screen because these can be dangerous to set up in windy conditions. With this set up the screen can be from 2 to 7 feet off the ground. Many people prefer the aesthetics of this option because you can drape the scaffolding, making it more visually appealing.
Flown off of a truss is great if you need to get your screen as high as 10 feet in the air. This set up is also quicker than using a scaffold because it uses motors to bring the screen into place. The aesthetics of this installation is dependent on tastes. Some people like it, while others don’t. It’s also important to remember that this is not a great option if you are expecting heavy wind as the screen is hanging from the truss so it can move freely in the wind and cause problems.
Flown off of a forklift is also a great option for getting your screen 8 feet in the air or higher. Most people don’t like the look of the forklift and so choose to go with the truss supported screen. The installation is done by securing a piece truss to the forks and building the screen from there. This is the simplest way to get a screen high in the air while not the most attractive.
While it’s important to understand your options, our screen providers will give you their recommendation with your needs and budget in mind. They will be able to give you the best option while considering all safety precautions necessary.
